1. Account information

• The information that we collect from you while you set up your account is for our system to pair you up with local businesses that match your interests and to connect you with other members.
• Your personal information is NEVER disclosed to any outside party for advertising.
• Our system evaluates you and searches our built in paid advertising commercial business directory for matches and brings those businesses into your "Peer Profile".
• Your account information is protected by a secure password.

2. Changes to the Privacy Statement

• MVN reserves the right to change this agreement at anytime. The latest version of this privacy statement will be displayed at the top left hand corner. The use of MVN after the new updated date will constitute acceptance of this Privacy Statement.

3. Cookies/Your Computer Information

• We may place cookies and/or record your computer's IP address to identify you and your browser. This is done to make our site easier for you to move around by already knowing your location for searches, recording your username, and to access your profile at a faster pace.

4. Security

• Our site protects your account information with a secured server behind a firewall.
• Billing payment information is protected with encryption using secure socket layer technology (SSL) certificate.
• Billing information such as credit card numbers, security codes, and payment history are NEVER disclosed to any third party.

5. Site Recommendations

• When you recommend a friend or Venue to MVN by using the "Tell a Peer" or "Tell a Venue" links, MVN sends a message to the e-mail addressee that you enter.
• MVN does NOT store this e-mail address and will NOT send any more messages other than the one you sent. We want people on our site, but understand how annoying it is for you to get too many e-mails for the same thing.
• If you receive an e-mail from us, please understand it is from someone recommending you, a reminder to renew your paid commercial advertising subscription, or "Business Venue Profile" monthly reporting only.

6. Third Party Links

• MVN has very limited third party links. We pride ourselves at controlling most of the advertising within our site. In the case of having a third party link outside of our site we do not share any account information. Please see the third parties Privacy Policy if you are outside of our site.

7. Business Reporting within our site

• "Business Venue Profile" subscribers will get reports via e-mail on profile hits, demographic info of the hits, and coupon print outs.
• Personal account information is NOT disclosed to the business.
• The businesses will not have access to any personal information in any way.

8. Profile Content Privacy

• Your "Peer profile" is automatically set to Private. This means that the only users able to view your profile are your approved "Peers".
• You have the Privacy option to select which of your peers can view other peer comments. This Privacy option allows you to control who sees what conversations and from whom.
• You are solely responsible for the content on your profile and to maintain you and your approved peer's privacy.
• You may elect to create a personal "URL" web address to go public. You are solely responsible for what content you allow others to view.
• MVN is not responsible for the content posted by users that violates the privacy of others.
• The "Business Venue Profiles" are Public within our site to all users, "Peer Profile" members or visitors.
• The "Business Venue Profiles" are public outside our site on the World Wide Web via your creation of a unique "URL" web address.

9. Age Restrictions

• People under the age of 13 are not permitted to use our site.
• Users that are between the ages of 13 and 18 are advised to receive permission from a legal guardian to create a "Peer Profile".
• Please report any age violation (under 13) to us by going to the "Contact us" page.

10. Reviews, Blogs, and "City Page" Chat Rooms

• If you participate in writing reviews or chatting in local city chat rooms, you acknowledge that others will be able to view your comments.
• If you participate in the business owner's blog, you acknowledge that others will be able to view your blog and add comments.

11. Other

• MVN may have access to your profile to enforce the Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement or to investigate any illegal activities at any time without notice.

12. Be Smart, Stay Safe

• Please choose the content you post and share carefully.
• Please do not accept a peer request from a person you do not know.
• Report any violations to this Privacy Statement or our Terms and Conditions of Use Agreement by going to the "contact us" page on this site.
